Rangiātea was the oldest Anglican Māori Church in New Zealand until it was tragically destroyed by fire in 1995. It was recently rebuilt. This website celebrates the unique history of Rangiātea. The Rangiātea website is based on an exhibition held at the National Library Gallery in 1997, Rangiātea, Ko Ahau Te Huarahi, Te Pono, Me Te Ora (Rangiātea, I am the way, the truth and the life). It provides bilingual information about the historic Rangiātea church at Ōtaki.
