Puke Ariki is an integrated museum, library and visitor information centre which opened in June 2003. It brings together the former Taranaki Museum and New Plymouth District Library. Puke Ariki cares for a regionally significant collection of taonga Māori, artefacts, archives and pictorial items. Puke Ariki is updating its available online collections on an ongoing basis.
