The breast of a female. Although some will use this word with animals such as a cow’s udder, other people prefer to use Pākehā based words such as ‘titi’. This is also the case for ‘waiū’(milk) some people will only use this word when referring to human milk.

Taneroa was the younger sibling, still suckling the breast.
